Private Family Hike in Lake Lucerne Region

In mid October, my university lecturer who I have not met for over 10 years came for a short holiday to Switzerland with her family.
As they don’t get much opportunity for hiking in the UK,
the one thing the whole family wanted to do in Switzerland was hike! Hike! And hike! (They hiked very often in Hong Kong).
Despite the weather not being what we’d hoped for
(two cold fronts, a sharp drop in temperature, and snowfall above 1500m),
we managed to catch a window on one day morning with no rain or snow to go for a short hike!
As we walked, the snow-capped mountains ahead of us grew bigger and bigger;
Along the way, we could just roll a snowball around on the grass for fun;
we kept walking, and it only started to snow as we neared the summit;
At the end of the trail, there was a surprise Alphorn performance!
It was actually a practice session, but it was lovely to listen to
The sky doesn’t always stay blue, but you’ll always find something lovely about it

We are definitely climbing to the summit again for our next hiking here.
